Money Mentors

Make a plan for your financial future.

It can be tough to stay on track with your financial goals when life keeps getting in the way. Work with a volunteer financial coach to make progress. A coach is someone who will listen, push you, and cheer you on to the finish line.

A financial coach will work with you to:

Get organized, create a plan

A financial coach will listen to you to get the whole financial picture, then help you get started and create a plan to get where you want to go.

Stick to it

Let’s face it, getting to your goal is a lot easier and a lot more fun when someone’s there with you, cheering you on and keeping you on track.

Make change happen

Reach your dreams. Boost your credit, eliminate debt, increase savings, increase your income, control spending, or whatever your goal may be.

Financial coaches do a lot, but they won’t

  • Tell you what to do or how to do it
  • Presume to be an expert in your financial situation
  • Offer legal advice

  • Help with investments, bankruptcy, wills, or trusts
  • Negotiate with creditors about your debt
  • Offer professional financial advice

How Money Mentors Works

It’s two hours once a month for a minimum of six months.

One-On-One Sessions

Meet with a financial coach for an hour each month. Create your plan and check in on its progress. Talk about your challenges, triumphs, setbacks, and needs.

Peer Circles

Participate with a network of your peers in monthly peer sessions. Talk, share, learn, and support each other.

Stay Until You Reach Your Goals

Six months isn’t always enough to get to where you want to be. Stick with the program until you meet your goals.
