In the final days of tax season, local nonprofit continues to help low-income people file their taxes

 WHAT: Twin Cities nonprofit Prepare + Prosper anticipates helping hundreds of low- and moderate-income taxpayers file their taxes before the filing deadline. Since January, volunteers have helped more than 8,000 taxpayers file their taxes for free and returned $18.2 million in refunds and nearly 800 of those taxpayers save $1.2 million of their refunds.

WHO: Volunteer tax preparers, taxpayers, and staff

WHENSaturday, April 13: 9 a.m. – noon and 1-4 p.m. and Monday, April 15 (Tax Day): 9 a.m. – noon and 3-7 p.m.
