Our main office free tax prep site in St. Paul serves individuals and families as well as those who are self-employed.

We’ll help you with your taxes plus some. Our IRS-certified volunteers will prepared your taxes and review them for accuracy. Financial advocate volunteers can help you get a handle on your money while you’re waiting—direct deposit your refund with a prepaid card, figure out how much of your refund you can save for emergencies, check your credit report, and more.

How to Get an Appointment.

We’re busy doing taxes year-round and appointments fill up fast. We open appointment slots 3 weeks in advance and we start scheduling on January 13. If you don’t see any openings, check back. We release new ones almost daily.

If you’re self-employed…

If you’re self-employment income was more than $6,000, you have a home office, and/or you operate a day care, you must go to our self-employment tax clinic on Mondays or Wednesdays.

Note: Please allow for about 2-4 hours to have your taxes completed.

NEED A TAX ID?

If you don’t have a Social Security number, you will need an ITIN—an Individual Tax Identification Number—to complete your tax return(s). We can help you get one for free!
