Started with Prepare + Prosper (P+P): In October 2013 and was thrilled to find myself among coworkers who were equal parts smart, fun, and quirky. Prior to joining P+P, I engaged stakeholders in lobbying for workforce training and after school programs, fundraised for and directed youth programs, and facilitated decision-making processes with state government agencies to inform policy in public health, education, and mental health.

In my role: I lead P+P’s grant writing, research prospective funding sources, build relationships with funders and donors, and make my mother proud by writing a lot of thank you notes to our amazing donors and supporters.

Geeks out over: The Dewey Decimal System (my books at home are arranged this way), public policy, creative fundraising strategies, maps, This American Life, and elephants.

When it’s not tax season: I raise money for our programs, services, and operations; write and read nonfiction; volunteer for Young Nonprofit Professionals Network; and review grants for federal education programs.
